Friday Five: Art Seen

I think Spring has come to EBSQ. Here’s a peek at some of the fantastic, fresh art from the EBSQ front page.

EBSQ Friday Five

1. Mountain Green Spring Lamb – Spring has definitely arrived in my neck of the woods. I’ve even glimpsed a few Spring lambs. Patricia Christensen’s new painting captures their curiosity perfectly.

2. My Upcycled Painting Support Project – EBSQ artist, Patience, has a great post on how she turned a “Red Thing” into a new canvas!

3. 100 Cards Giveaway – Deb Harvey is holding a drawing on her blog for 100 cards. To enter, just leave a comment on her blog post.

4. Difference Between Fine Art and Illustration – Using examples from her own art, Ariannah, discusses how these two big art genres differ.

5. The Wow Show – Claudia Roulier shares with us a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the hanging of a diverse art exhibit.

Have a wonderful weekend!

The winner for Simon Sez – Green! is…

This week’s Simon Sez winner is Vicky Knowles with her entry “The Queen Of Green”. Simon – aka Stephanie M D’Aigle, asked for “Green” to chase her winter blues away. Simon Sez – Green!

This week’s Simon is Stephanie M. D’Aigle.  The persistence of winter where she is lives is really getting to her, so she proclaimed “Green” to be her Simon Sez theme choice. This is what Stephanie said about her choice: “Open to any interpretation.  First of all, I need to see some green as I may get a foot of snow tonight/tomorrow and I just wanna cry… But!!!  Green can be more than a color, no? Unlimited, just so green is noticeable.  And I would love to see LOTS of posts to take my never ending winter blues away please!”
