February’s EBSQ LIVE on 2/16 rescheduled for 2/23

Due to unexpected conflicts, February’s EBSQ LIVE will not be on Monday, February 16th. The new date is February 23rd. The time will still be the same so please join us at 9PM EST(6PM Pacific) in the EBSQ Chat Room for Noelle Hunt’s presentation on how to re-root doll hair. Her altered dolls are unique and creative and this will be an interesting presentation even if you don’t work with dolls. If you do work with dolls or are thinking about doing so, February’s LIVE will be indispensable. We look forward to seeing you then!

Reminder: February’s EBSQ LIVE on a different Monday, 2/16

February’s EBSQ LIVE will not be on it’s usual second Monday of the month. This month LIVE will be on the third Monday, February 16th. Art the Economy and Survival – Open Forum tonight

Last week we announced January’s EBSQ LIVE and because we feel it is an important topic we wanted to remind everyone that tonight is the night. If you are wondering what to do to maximize your chances of getting through the tough economy, have come up with any strategies or just want to talk or listen, we hope that you will be at this evening’s LIVE!

It’s a Potluck! Bring a recipe and join in the fun. This month, LIVE is more of a gathering. Since we can’t actually share food, we are going to share our favorite recipes for the season, so please be sure to bring yours. If you have a great holiday craft or tip we hope you will share those, too. In addition to the “potluck”, there will be a couple of ideas and quick how-to’s that may come in handy for holiday entertaining. This is a great way to meet fellow EBSQ members and Patrons as well as a chance get to know others better. We hope that everyone will come and enjoy this remarkable, creative community that we all have created.

Kool Aid isn’t just a kids drink, it’s a BIG kids best friend if they are into dyeing wool yarn! Check out the fun fruity smelling bright colored yarn dyeing tips from me on September 8th EBSQ LIVE. You will see the simple step by step instructions that you can even do with your kids. Everything is non-toxic. If you don’t want to dye yarn…you can always dye your hair! About the presenter:

Lori Rase Hall’s beautiful and highly stylized watercolours have been exhibited in galleries throughout California & the Western US. Her work is also in the permanent collection in the E.B. Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, CA. Her work can be described as intricate, vibrant, balanced, some times abstract, and always clever. In addition to watercolours, Lori creates using any media, tool or item that sparks her imagination to create fun, interesting, sometimes practical art. Lori has a fine arts degree in Painting, Drawing and Design. She and her husband, artist Kiplan Hall, reside in northern Californina.

We are busy getting ready to welcome the new EBSQ members. This does not mean that artists already EBSQ members are not welcome. You are and we hope that many will come to help introduce EBSQ to our new artists. If you are not a member but have an interest in EBSQ, please join us!

This will give new members a chance to meet other EBSQ members – both new and established, as well as ask questions and get a feel for what goes on here at EBSQ. The New Member Reception will be held on the fourth Monday of every month in the EBSQ Chat Room from 8PM to 10PM EST. The reception is open to all EBSQ members and I hope everyone will drop by. I look forward to seeing many new and familiar faces!
