The EBSQ Friday Five offers a brief look at noteworthy news from around the EBSQ Artist Blogosphere.
1. FOTM: Daffodil Progress II – Artist Kris Jean is sharing her latest Flower of the Month painting, as it develops. The image on the right is only a small glimpse. Check out her blog to see this stunning painting.
2. Paws for Charity Book – Abby Creek Studios, a.k.a. EBSQ artist Linda O’Neill will be featured in this charity book to support the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade.
EBSQ Artists are some of the most generous people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Within hours of the earthquake in Haiti, many of you started creating new works of art for the soul purpose of aiding the victims of this massive tragedy. To support your efforts, we’ve created an official Relief for Haiti Online Gallery.
Here’s how it works:
All items in the Relief for Haiti gallery MUST be for sale to benefit Haiti through a legitimate charity.
The charity must be explicitly stated.
The percentage of the donation must be explicitly stated.
If you’re selling it directly on EBSQ, you need to provide a way to pay for it (PayPal or Google checkout button)
If you’re selling it elsewhere, you need to state where specifically it’s being sold. (Links to where that item is for sale would be a bonus since that makes your sale more likely.)
Html challenged? Having problems linking? No worries. Just drop us a line and one of our staff would be happy to help you! This is definitely a labour of love for us.
(Members caught committing fraud WILL have their accounts terminated per our Terms of Service. This is non-negotiable.)
We anticipate keeping the gallery open through the end of February 2010.
Not yet a member? You can help Haiti just by joining! We’re donating $5 to the Red Cross for every new paid artist membership through Valentine’s Day 2010. So what are you waiting for? Join an awesome artist community and help us make a difference.
