Don’t forget – EBSQ LIVE tonight at 9PM Eastern/6PM Pacific

Please join us tonight at 9PM EST (6PM Pacific) in the EBSQ Chat Room for Kris Jean’s EBSQ LIVE presentation on how to recycle junk mail and scrap paper – along with adding petals and other pretties, to make your own artisan paper. It is going to be a comprehensive presentation that will include how to use additives and drying times. It’s time for spring cleaning and this is a unique way to clear out the clutter and it’s certainly more interesting than carrying the recycling and trash to the curb.

Giving your doll a whole new head of hair can not only save a vintage doll your trying to restore, but can also give an art doll a whole new look! It takes some time and patience but can be incredibly rewarding!

About the presenter: Noelle Hunt gathers inspiration from retro kitsch items such as pin-up girls, big-eyed children, pity puppies and tiki bars, she studies the objects of her affection and reshapes them in a modern style, dubbed “nouveau retro.”

This Month’s EBSQ LIVE: Art, The Economy and Survival

This Month’s EBSQ LIVE:

Art, The Economy and Survival

Hosted by EBSQ Self Representing Artists
Monday, January 12th, at 9pm Eastern (6pm Pacific)
EBSQ Chat Room

Kari Tirrell

In this economy, everyone is cutting back and the first things to go are luxury items. For many, art is a luxury item. What actions are you taking to keep your art business solvent – or are you hunkering down and hoping to ride it out? Like those in other professions that provide “expendable” services, we need to adapt to survive. What can we learn from the salon owner and the restaurant owner? How do we as artists, convince people that art is necessary and worth a part of tight budgets?

Do you have questions to ask or information to pass on? This month’s LIVE is an opportunity to share and discuss how to get by and succeed in a world of tight purse strings.
