Unlike our traditional EBSQ exhibits which are very structured, the point of EBSQ “one word concepts” is to present you a word and leave it totally open to your interpretation. Take your word anywhere you like. Just make sure your finished work relates in some obvious way to this month’s word.
There are no media restrictions. Any and all materials may be used to create your entry. An artist’s statement is required with every entry. This statement should include information about your personal interpretation of this month’s concept. Your statement is an important element in presenting your work online and helps make your work more accessible for the viewer. If texture or other small elements are pivotal to the piece, detail shots are encouraged. Eligible entries must meet all points of the prospectus. If you have any questions regarding the prospectus and its requirements, please send them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Annual Better Late Than Never Show
Our only outlier on the schedule. Missed a deadline for one of the above 11 themes? Enter them now! Just make sure your cite the exhibit for which it was intended and that the piece you’re entering meets the criteria of the original exhibit.
EBSQ exhibits are open to paid artist members of the EBSQ Self-Representing Artist Community. Not yet a member? Join today!
