PayPal Subscriptions technical issue impacts new and existing EBSQ customers

EBSQ has been fortunate to have had a great partner in PayPal, which has enabled us to offer subscription plans for our members since 2002. Unfortunately, PayPal is currently experiencing serious technical issues with their subscription mechanisms.

How does this affect you?

If you’re someone whose account recently expired or a new customer who wants to upgrade to a paid artist account, you’re not going to be able to do so. If you try to create a subscription, you’ll receive an error page saying your last transaction cannot be completed. There’s a good chance you were billed despite this failure. If this is the case, please contact info@ebsqart.com. We’ll get your account upgraded (or updated if you’re renewing) manually on our end. It’s very important that you contact us since part of the glitch is that PayPal’s automated notices to us aren’t being triggered because the subscription creation failed.

If you’re an existing customers who is trying to re-activate a lapsed account, or if you account is just about to expire and you already have a lapsed subscription, please drop us a line. We’re adding grace time to everyone’s end-dates to ensure you’re able to renew without a lapse of service on our end.

The folks at PayPal have assured us that this is a top-priority technical issue. We’ll update this post as soon as we learn more. Thanks for your patience–and continued patronage!
